CN TOWER

The CN Tower, in Toronto is currently the tallest free-standing structure on earth. For the last 10 years the tower hasn't been lit at night. The new lighting system is very cool! The light appears to rush up from the base or down from the very top at dizzying speed (considering the height of the tower). The light runs up and down the elevator shaft and on the top section as well. The rotating restaurant and the 'donut' below also light up.
As well as pictures I took, I also attached a second camera to the tripod and took a video of the 10 minute light show to celebrate the first night of the lighting. From what I understand, the tower will be lit every night from now on and for special occasions, the lights will reflect the holiday. The LED lights use 60% less power than anything available a decade ago.
You will have to forgive me for not turning off the sound on my camera - oopsie! I've made the video available at the link at the end of my spiel. The video is about 10 minutes long, but a small download of 28mb. http://www.sendspace.com/file/3rmao3
